Happy New Year!
With so many wonderful ideas popping up in our lovely community every day, we thought it’d be fun to highlight a few of the most popular ideas from the past year.
By far, one of the most popular ideas in all of Bullet Journal history has to go to the Year in Pixels by the lovely Camille, otherwise known as @passion.carnets on Instagram. The idea is that you color in a square each day based on how you felt overall that day and at the end of the year you can see how your feelings fluctuated throughout the course of the year.
If you like the idea, but want to track more than one emotion a day, this adaptation by Alec (@fischrjournals) to include two moods for AM and PM tracking might just be up your alley.

The idea is the same for all of these in that you color in a shape according to however you’re feeling.
Monthly mood trackers came in all shapes and designs. The enormous creativity Bullet Journalists put forth in their various designs encouraged them to log their moods. These mood trackers were the perfect blend of creative and functional.

I absolutely love this idea, they are so fun and make for a wonderful visual way to remember what you want to do each season. The first time I saw it was at the end of the summer of 2016 by Fee Fee (@feefee_bujo), since then it has exploded to encompass the rest of the seasons as well.

I think these are so fun because the visual element pulls you in and you’re more likely to do something when you’re excited about it. They could also be a great way to introduce kids to the idea of Bullet Journaling!
Otherwise known as monthly ‘cover pages,’ these started popping up a couple of years ago, but it wasn’t until last year that they exploded in the Bullet Journal community. You can find them in all sorts of styles; from a simple drawing, quote, mini calendar, or more, they’re one of the most popular ways that Bullet Journalists enjoy welcoming the start of a new month.

Demonstrating that collections can take all sorts of shapes, pun intended, circles were an enormous hit.
Beginning with the circle that started it all: the monthly calendar wheel that Dee from @decadethirty shared her adaptation of a monthly wheel she had seen someone share on Moleskine’s website.
As soon as I saw Dee’s monthly wheel, it occurred to me that by expanding the circles it would be possible to track different intentions over the course of the week or month as an effective tracker. I shared a weekly variation as well as one of the monthly versions I had in mind.

This is a fun way to keep track of birthdays and holidays as well as any recurring event you have going on over the course of the year.

If you love color and mandalas, then this mood mandala is your perfect duo. Brought to the community by Fiona (@bujo.mama), you color in a circle each day that corresponds to your overall mood and build the mandala design every few days.
